"I remember him very well. It was a very intense
feeling to have him around. You would know he was there in the
house, you'd know he was there when you drove up the driveway. He
was a very powerful person spiritually....he was an incredible and
enlightened man. A one-of-a-kind human being."
"That's what he was to me as a child--this huge,
electrifying, powerful, grand, beautiful presence."
"He was so extraordinary a presence--not even as
an entertainer, just as a person. Yes, he sang well, and yes, the
songs were great, but that was him coming through the music. He was
bigger than life--and he still is."
"...(Elvis was) just someone who
was...everything that everyone perceived him to be and in the way
that he sort of came through his music and his spirit came through
and affected people. He was that spirit that was behind all that."
“I believe just from knowing him, is that his
spirit came through the music and so that’s kind of what permeated
whatever he did, and it would touch other spirits, and it sort of
went on a different level."
"There was no difference between his image and who he was; except
for that who he was, was even more important and bigger. Everything
you saw that he had was what was there, what he gave, and he never
put up a front of any kind. He was who he was, and that’s what came
through; and his image didn’t come anywhere near to what he was as a
human being.”
For my Beautiful Mother and Father
(deep breath and big gasp for air on this one!)
Each of us have pioneered unusual imperfect lives and challenges
individually, GOD I wish we could have all been there for the other
in doing so. It may not have made it any easier but it would have
been a lot less serious. We are still an eternal unit never broken,
and I love and appreciate you two so very much it could bury me
alive! I hope I haven't been too much of a burden to bear, but hey!
If I have, it runs in the damn family! :) ~ L (Lisa's dedication on
her "What Now?" CD - 2005)
