They called him the king of rock 'n  roll
An awesome singer ,with heart and soul
And Elvis he love to entertain the crowd
He'd wiggle his hips and the girls went wild

The most beautiful voice, man could he sing.
Such joy to an audience did he bring
He had a great big smile and jet black hair
He had a great big heart ,he really cared.

Yet their was a longing deep in his soul
To live a normal life ,to just feel he was whole
He loved the crowds and he loved to sing.
But not that loneliness that kind of life brings

At the young age of 42 the king got his wish
But he could never imagine how he'd be missed
It's been almost 23 years since he's been gone
Yet this legend called Elvis still lives on

We miss his heart ,we miss his soul
We miss this king of rock 'n  roll.
He once graced the halls of Graceland
Now he is singing away in the promise land
